Bring Holiday Cheer to Hamden’s Children by Donating to the 2020 Holiday Toy Drive
December 12 is the last day of the Drive Up and Go Holiday Toy Drive held by Hamden’s police, volunteer fire department, youth center, and Community Services. Donations go toward over 500 local families to spread holiday cheer all across Hamden to those who need it most. The drive runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and takes place at Hamden Middle School near Sanford Street and Dixwell Avenue.
Toys for children of all ages are much appreciated. Suggested gift donations include:
- Dolls, nail polish, and related girls’ toys
- Sports supplies and associated toys
- Board games and building toys such as LEGO
- Toy cars, trucks, and remote control vehicles
- Arts and crafts supplies, pocket books, and journals
Volunteers at the drive work hard to observe public health and safety precautions. Donations should be packed in your trunk for ease of safe collection.
