Community Center and a Burst Water Line in New Haven
The water line split and doused the hallway in this New Haven building during the night. The pooling water is reflecting light, showing its depth. SERVPRO is a preferred vendor, often at the top of the list, for water and fire damage removal and mitigation by many municipalities and property managed entities. With portable wet/vacs and a riding Rover, the liquid was quickly removed from the short-napped carpet. A small, controlled demolition removed the damaged sheetrock from both sides of this area of the building for two reasons. The material was non-salvageable and it speeded up the drying process, therefore, mitigating further damage. These low flood cuts ease the installation and the cost of new wallboard material. One lonely air mover is completing the drying process that will be documented for insurance purposes. We try to assist our clients in any way that we can.
